CySA+ CS0-003 has a maximum of 85 questions, including multiple-choice and performance-based questions (PBQs). You have 165 minutes.
You need a score of 750 on a scale of 100–900 to pass CySA+ (CS0-003).
CompTIA includes CySA+ in the group of exams whose U.S. retail voucher pricing is commonly around the upper end of its stated voucher-price range, and it is in the $150/3-year CE-fee group. Exact voucher pricing can vary by region and discounts.
CySA+ CS0-003 domains and weights are: Security Operations (33%), Vulnerability Management (30%), Incident Response Management (20%), and Reporting & Communication (17%).
There are no mandatory prerequisites. CompTIA commonly recommends Network+ and Security+ (or equivalent knowledge) and several years of hands-on security/SOC experience.
CompTIA’s CySA+ certification page lists multiple DoD 8140 work roles associated with CySA+ (role mappings can evolve over time, so candidates should confirm against the current DoD qualification matrices).
CySA+ is in CompTIA’s CE program (three-year renewal cycle). CompTIA lists CE fees totaling $150 over the three-year period for CySA+. If you hold multiple CompTIA certs, you generally only pay CE fees for your highest-level cert and lower-level certs renew with it.
