The CISA exam has 150 multiple-choice questions. You have 4 hours (240 minutes) to complete the exam.
You need a scaled score of 450 out of 800 to pass the CISA exam. ISACA uses a scaled scoring methodology.
The CISA exam fee is $575 USD for ISACA members and $760 USD for non-members. ISACA membership costs $135/year and provides significant exam fee savings.
CISA covers five domains: Information System Auditing Process (21%), Governance and Management of IT (17%), Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation (12%), Information Systems Operations and Business Resilience (23%), and Protection of Information Assets (27%).
CISA requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information systems auditing, control, or security. Substitutions and waivers for up to 3 years are available for certain education and experience combinations.
CISA certification requires annual maintenance. You must earn at least 20 CPE hours per year (minimum 120 over 3 years) and pay annual maintenance fees to keep your certification active.
